Even though it seems like summer just started, many of us (me included!) are starting to gear up for the Back to School madness! Luckily for us teachers, there is a Back to School sweepstakes at Coupons.com!

Coupons.com is an awesome site where I go to find coupons for the things I need to buy.  Whether it be school supplies or groceries, I'm usually able to save a bundle with these coupons.  I also find lots of free shipping codes for ordering online.  And it helps keep my husband happy because I can tell him not just what I spent, but what I saved!

Even though my students will be bringing their own supplies, there are always students who don't.  Because of this, I like to stock up on some basics for everyone to share to make sure there are enough to go around.  I usually buy things like:
  • Crayola crayons
  • Ticonderoga pencils
  • Crayola watercolors
  • Watercolor paper
  • Construction paper
  • Extra pencil boxes
  • Prize box items
  • Post-its
  • Sharpies (colored and black)
  • Mr. Sketch markers
With big stores like Walmart, Target, Staples, and Office Depot on Coupons.com, I'm sure to find the supplies I need on sale! Last year, I posted an adorable video of my son using the Classroom Friendly Supplies pencil sharpener.  You can go see that here.

All my students love using that pencil sharpener, but every time there is a new parent helper or a sub, they just can't figure it out.  Adults, I tell ya ;)

So, I made this simple poster with pictures and directions on how to use it.  Click the picture and you can download from Google Drive.  I took these pictures last spring, before I painted all my bookshelves black.  So sorry about all that peeling paint.  Yuck!

And here is my new pink sharpener in my pencil area! <3

Pencil cans are Welches frozen grape juice containers covered with contact paper.  I need to cover that Almond Roca can with colored pencils, too!  I don't remember where the "No Picky Pencils" sign is from, so if you know, please tell me!

About a month ago, I signed up for a Back to School Blogger exchange with Jessica from Covered in Glitter and Glue!  I love gift exchanges, so I was so excited to participate!

I got matched up with Stephanie from Polka Dot Palace!

In her letter she said she loved good pens, bright colors, personalized things, and chocolate!  In her box, I gathered some Hawaiian Host Macadamia Nut chocolates, Ink Joy pens, fun post-it notes, hot pink nail polish (which I had to mail separately because I forgot to put it in the first box - doh!), and a hand-made coffee cozy with her name on it!  Check out how she liked it all on her post here!

Here is what she sent me!  I love it all soooo much!  I feel so spoiled!

I got a new box of Mr. Sketch markers.  You don't even know how happy this makes me!!!  I love them!!!  I use them for anchor charts, drawing smiley faces on student work that was done in class, and grading papers.  

Puzzle-piece post-its.  So fun!!

Scentos stamps = LOVE!  I bought a set of stamps at the Target Dollar spot when I was in Oahu last, but they don't smell.  These ones smell!  The kids love when they get one of these stamps on their papers!

Ink Joy pens.  I've never been a pen snob, but I think I might be turning into one, now!  These pens are seriously awesome!  Lovely colors and they write so smoothly!

A picture frame with a personalized notes page and 2 Expo markers for writing on it.  She even made me a couple more pages to put inside if I want a different look!  So sweet!  It's now sitting right next to my desk at work.  I love it!

I had the wonderful opportunity to write a review for MPM School Supplies.  I had heard about them from other teachers who said they have cheap prices and fast shipping.  For me, living on a small island with a tiny school budget - cheap prices and fast shipping are the main criteria whenever I buy something for my classroom!

I ordered everything on January 17th, it shipped on January 21st, and I received it all by January 24th!  Mind you, I live on a tiny, isolated island and things tend to take a LOT longer to get here.  Not from MPM!  I was very impressed by the quick shipping!

Between January 17th and January 21st, I had to correspond with a customer service agent.  She noticed that my sale construction paper wouldn't work with my gift card and she went ahead and fixed it for me.  Score!  Not only did she help me save that 60 cents, but she found the error, fixed it, and then emailed to let me know.  So nice!  I seriously don't remember getting better customer service!

All in all, my experience with MPM was awesome and I will for sure be ordering from them again!
